In the world there are approximately 9000 species of birds, belonging to 25 orders. A third of them can be found in South America. In Argentina 975 species represent 84 families and 23 orders. San Martín de los Andes, in the south-west of the province of Neuquén offers the opportunity of observing 250 species of birds while enjoying Patagonia. This small and beautiful mountain village is surrounded by captivating landscapes, from lush green hills and snowy mountain caps to the vast valleys and plateaus of the Patagonian steppes.
